We have a variety of vehicles available for varying needs and mobilities, we have pictures below but please read on for details about each type:

Transit Chairs – Small wheeled manual chairs are for those members who prefer to be pushed and are not able to use a Powered chair or scooter. The weight limit for these chairs is 15 stone (95kg)

Light Chair – these are very easy to push and have bicycle type brakes on the handles making it easier for the operator. The weight limit for these chairs is 18 stone (115kg)

Self Propelling – these large wheeled chairs can be pushed by the operator or the member and is ideal for inside shops. The weight limit for these chairs is 15 stone (95kg)

Powered Chairs – these chairs offer more independence for the member and are easier to maneuver than scooters. They have a control joystick which is simple to use but does take a little practice at first. We have 2 chairs with dual controls so they can also be controlled by an operator as well and 1 that can be switched between left and right handed controls. The weight limit for these chairs is 18-20 stone (115-127kg)

3 Wheeled Scooter – these are for more experienced users as they are not as stable as the 4 wheel versions but they offer more maneuverability and more leg room. We also have one paediatric scooter. The weight limit for these chairs is 15 stone (95kg)

4 Wheeled Scooter – these are more stable and therefore suitable for beginners, amputees, and people in stroke rehab. A certain level of strength is needed in the shoulders however to operate the tiller. The controls are simple and most people adjust to it in their first visit. The weight limit for these chairs is 21 stone (133kg)
